Pagerduty add schedule to Google Calendar

Posted on Friday, October 3, 2014

This guide will walk through adding a pagerduty schedule to your Google Calendar.  (Its pretty easy to be honest)

Grab the schedule

Log into pagerduty

Click On-Call Schedules

Open the Export Menu for the schedule you want to add to your calendar.

Right click on "Everyone" under the WebCal feed file,  select Copy Link Address.

Google Calendar

Open Google Calendar

Next to Other Calendars click the drop down menu and select "Add by URL"

Paste and click Add Calendar.

In the upper right you should see "Loading…"
While it loads the calendar

When its done you will see "Calendar was imported successfully."

The calendar has been updated

If you look closely you will see that who is on duty is also listed J

Using the Web Cal will also enable your Google Calendar to automatically update when changes are made at pagerduty (though I have read it may take 24 hours for the Calendars to sync?)

This post is a part of and epic, the pagerduty and twilio epic.

Epic Goal:   Set up a phone number, via twillio, that when called will set off a pagerduty event.
